Welcome to Western NY Deaf Golf Tour!!!
We are pleased to announce the start of a new
Western NY Deaf Golf Tour in 2008. It
will provide deaf golfers the
opportunity to compete in monthly golf
tournaments in the western New York
State area. Since the Tour is new, it
will start with 12 golfers, to be
determined on a first come first serve
basis. A greater number will be
considered in future years. We are also
pleased to announce that CSDVRS will
sponsor the tournaments.
The WNYDGT will play the tournaments on quality golf
courses such as Shadow Pines, Ravenwood,
Mill Creek, The Ivy Ridge and Eagle
Vale.
The tournaments are scheduled for May 18th, June
21st, July 19th, Aug 16th
and Sept 12th. Tee times will be in
accordance with the host golf
club’s availability.
The format of each tournament will be on net score
basis using the USGA Handicap System
which allows all levels of golfers to
fairly compete in the tournaments.
The Order of Merit System will be used to rank the
new CSDVRS Cup standing of the players.
After each event a player will earn
merit points determined from his net
score as follows: 1st 120; 2nd 110; 3rd
100; 4th 90; 5th 80; 6th to
9th 70; and 10th to 12th
40. The points will be accumulated
throughout the season, determining the
league winners. There will be 8 prizes
for the top 8 ranked players.
The annual fee for WNYDGT membership is $50.00 to be
paid prior to the start of the season.
Tournament green fees and carts, for
each tournament played, are the
responsibility of each player.
The USGA official golf rules shall govern.
Foursomes, for each tournament, will be
determined by name draws. Tee times will
be listed on score cards.
